Texas Land Developers Association Endorses Guillen In Upcoming Election
AUSTIN - The Texas Land Developers Association (TLDA) has endorsed the re-election campaign of Representative Ryan Guillen (D - Rural South Texas). Like TLDA, Guillen promotes awareness of and advocates for the needs of developers in the Texas construction industry.
"The construction sector is vital in creating jobs for South Texas, which is why I am humbled that an organization as important as the Texas Land Developers Association has endorsed me in the upcoming election. Together we can make Texas even greater," said Guillen.
TLDA protects the rights of Texans to buy, sell and use their property. TLDA provides information for self-financers of property, mortgage servicers, developers, consumers, and public officials.
Guillen has worked diligently to foster a positive environment for the construction industry throughout South Texas by helping to promote the creation of jobs and improve the overall infrastructure and business climate in South Texas. He was an author of a bill that cut the state's business franchise tax by 25%, was a key supporter of legislation protecting contractors from building defects, and his work has helped bring the unemployment rate in his district down from 9% to 6%, with an 8% increase in average yearly wages.
"I fight every day for the people of South Texas," said Guillen "With your support in the upcoming election I will continue the fight to make South Texas an even better place to live, work, and raise a family."
Serving ten rural South Texas counties in the Texas House of Representatives, Ryan Guillen is known for his hard work, fierce independence, and relentless efforts for South Texas families. Recently, Capitol Inside called him a “House Bill Machine,” and a “one-person assembly line for legislation.” Since elected, few other legislators have passed more bills than Guillen.
